Wipro, SIAM.AI Partner to Build AI Tourism Assistant

Thailand AI

Wipro Limited, a global technology services leader, has joined forces with SIAM.AI, a member of the NVIDIA Cloud Partner program in Thailand, to create an AI-powered digital assistant for the country’s Tourism Authority. Built using NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, Wipro’s Enterprise Generative AI (WeGA) Studio, and SIAM.AI’s expertise, the assistant, named ‘Sukjai,’ aims to enhance tourism experiences while advancing Thailand’s sovereign AI objectives.

‘Sukjai’ will offer 24/7 support in Thai and English, providing tourists with tailored recommendations and real-time information. Features include transportation guidelines, lodging availability, crowd flow updates at attractions, and personalised activity suggestions based on user preferences. It will also provide emergency assistance and safety alerts, ensuring a seamless and secure travel experience for both domestic and international tourists.

“This initiative highlights our deep expertise and investments in delivering highly customised AI solutions, designed to achieve the unique objectives of our clients,” Vinay Firake, CEO of Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa at Wipro, said.

AI for Thailand

The project aligns with Thailand’s focus on digital sovereignty and AI development. Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, CEO of SIAM.AI Cloud, said, “Our collaboration with Wipro exemplifies how we’re bringing together global expertise and local knowledge to serve Thailand’s digital future.”

Developed with responsible AI principles, ‘Sukjai’ will continuously improve through user feedback via NVIDIA’s NeMo platform, ensuring data privacy and transparency. “Sukjai will provide a foundation for Thailand to build AI applications that enterprises and small businesses can use to enhance travel experiences and open up new economic opportunities,” said John Fanelli, NVIDIA’s vice president of enterprise software.

Thailand has been making significant AI progress this year. In May, Microsoft announced their commitment to build new cloud and AI infrastructure in Thailand, and provide AI skilling opportunities for 100,000 people.
