Techno Electrical & Engineering Firm (TEECL) introduced the launch of Techno Digital Infra on Tuesday. This digital infrastructure arm is backed by a $1 billion funding plan.
Techno Digital Infra plans to combine a hyperscale community and edge information centres, focusing on a mixed capability of 250 MW throughout India. This mission aligns with the nation’s flagship programme, Digital India.
The mission operations will begin in Chennai, the place Techno is constructing a 36 MW hyperscale information centre inside the SIPCOT IT Park in Siruseri. The ability spans 2 lakh sq. ft and will retailer as much as 2400 racks. It integrates renewable vitality with Battery Power Storage Techniques (BESS) for steady sustainability, adiabatic cooling for water effectivity, 25% inexperienced cowl, and a facility PUI of 1.35.
“We’re not simply constructing information centres, we’re powering India’s digital revolution. Our hybrid technique, integrating hyperscale and edge, will redefine how information is hosted, processed, and delivered. Whether or not AI, OTT, fintech, or governance, our infrastructure is designed for the following decade of digital progress,” mentioned the president of Techno Digital, Amit Agrawal.
Kolkata and Noida are among the chosen areas for these hyperscale services. Techno has additionally partnered with RailTel Company of India, below the Ministry of Railways, to develop Edge information centres in 102 cities throughout 23 states.
The mission can also be claimed to be the biggest deployment of its sort, bringing low-latency computing nearer to its customers in Tier 2 and three cities. The hybrid infrastructure technique would uplift sectors like AI, BFSI, telecom, OTT, e-sports, healthcare, e-governance, and manufacturing.
Ankit Saraiya, director and CEO of TEECL, mentioned: “From AI workloads and 5G to cloud-native purposes, we’re enabling India to course of information the place it’s consumed, decreasing latency, vitality use, and value. Our edge deployment mannequin is not only technically superior; it’s a whole ecosystem that encompasses all features of a digital infrastructure. We’re honoured to be RailTel’s trusted accomplice on this nationwide mission.”
In September 2024, RailTel Company of India awarded TEECL a contract to design, construct, finance, function, and switch edge information centres (EDCs). In response to experiences, EDCS play a big position in assembly low latency and excessive bandwidth necessities important for digital abilities, monetary inclusion, digital well being, and literacy.
