2am VC Fund to Again Early Stage Startups in Shopper Tech, AI, Fintech, and SaaS

Enterprise capital agency 2am VC has launched its second fund, focusing on investments in 30 Indian startups throughout client tech, fintech, AI, meals & beverage, and world SaaS.

The agency will allocate 60% of the fund for preliminary investments and 40% for follow-on rounds. 2am VC made its debut in 2021, closing a $10 million Fund I. So far, 2am VC has invested in 47 corporations, together with NEWME, Apna Mart, Bimaplan, and Karbon Card, amongst others.

Based by Hershel Mehta and Brendan Rogers, the agency beforehand closed on $10 million.

“We all know that Indian founders are blessed with many financing choices, and we try to be top-of-mind for founders as an investor of selection,” Mehta stated. “We go above and past to help founders in being their hyperlocal and hyperglobal companions to introduce key relationships, organize prospects, and supply focused steerage to help development and obtain product-market-fit.”

The agency’s thesis focuses on the worth rising from a generational shift in Indian client behaviour, pushed by a younger, city inhabitants with rising disposable revenue. Shoppers are more and more prioritising high quality, comfort, and digital expertise over price. This shift is creating demand for tech-first options tailor-made to Indian contexts and for area of interest, category-defining merchandise in underpenetrated markets.

2am VC, which has places of work in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, and Los Angeles, connects world traders with Indian founders. The fund focuses on early-stage startups, primarily on the pre-seed to seed stage.

“We recognise that the following stage of improvement of Indian startups can be pushed by younger and first-time Indian founders constructing corporations which can be uniquely Indian,” Rogers stated.
