Recently, a self-proclaimed career guru, Priyank Ahuja, shared an intriguing post on X, that read: “ChatGPT and Canva will help you earn an extra $15,000/month.” He followed it up with a series of video demonstrations on how to use the tools for simple tasks like designing T-shirts, creating Instagram creative ads, and making YouTube Shorts.

According to him, these basic tasks could potentially turn you into a billionaire. Many of his followers seemed to agree.

To understand this better, AIM reached out to Ahuja. He explained that the numbers were derived from his conversations with five to six experts who used Canva on a daily basis.

It’s undeniable that AI tools can be used for free to acquire new skills and enhance your work, potentially leading to higher earnings.

Does AI Art Bring Good Money?

AI art has become mainstream, as demonstrated by artists like Refik Anadol, a Turkish-American new media artist who merges art and AI to create captivating installations.

Anadol’s work includes transforming the Las Vegas Sphere into the world’s largest AI artwork and having his installation ‘Unsupervised’ displayed at MoMA in New York. His success stems from collaborations with hardware and software providers, using tools like NVIDIA Omniverse to handle vast data sets.

‘Living Architecture’ by Refik Anadol was the only digital artwork auctioned at Christie’s on 11 May 2022, with a final price of $1.38 million.

Other artists, like Sougwen Chung and Trevor Paglen, also explore AI in diverse ways, highlighting AI art’s potential beyond mere prompt engineering. At London’s Gillian Jason Gallery, a series of four of Chung’s robot collaborations is priced at over $131,000 per image.

During an exclusive conversation with AIM, a 19-year-old artist, Ashok Reddy, shared that he sold around 100 AI-generated art pieces in just two days! His breakdown was selling A4-size pieces for INR 400 and A3-size pieces for INR 700.

Remarkably, Reddy gathered all this knowledge through online resources, without attending any college courses. He recommended using Midjourney and highlighted the inspiration and learning opportunities provided by platforms like Twitter and other online communities.

Tomer Cohen, chief product officer at LinkedIn, highlighted this trend, noting a fivefold increase in learners engaging with AI courses and content on LinkedIn over the past year. “Globally, the demand for AI talent is surging and has doubled over the last year, as companies seek to maintain a competitive edge,” he added.

Zuckerberg Agrees

In a recent interview with Kallaway, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared that as technology evolves, so do the AI tools we use, and staying updated with these is crucial for everyone in the creative space. He reiterated that in the future most forms of everyday work would require more imagination.

Zuckerberg deeply believes that the future will consist of many AIs created by different people, each offering unique experiences. This belief in diversity and variety is also why he supports open-source development so strongly.

In conclusion, AI tools may not only offer powerful opportunities for skill enhancement and income generation but may also, when used wisely and consistently, turn one into a millionaire overnight.
