Google has rolled out major updates to its Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast video generation models, introducing lower prices, new configurations, and sharper resolution.
The company said Veo 3 will now cost $0.40 per second, down from $0.75, while Veo 3 Fast drops to $0.15 per second from $0.40. Both models also support vertical 9:16 aspect ratio videos and 1080p HD output, making them better suited for mobile-first and social platforms.
Veo 3 is being adopted widely across AI-native creative platforms.
Invisible Studio, which powers short-form content workflows, reported Veo 3 as its most-used model within eight weeks of launch.
Saga, a generative platform for filmmakers, is using it for rapid previsualisation and animatics. Meanwhile, Mosaic, an agentic video editor, has extended Veo 3’s outputs to 64 seconds with native audio, allowing deeper editing and iteration.
Developers can access Veo 3 through Google’s Gemini API and AI Studio, where demo apps such as MediaSim show how multimodal video and audio generation can be combined for new creative workflows. All generated content continues to include Google’s SynthID watermark.
With these changes, Google said it aims to make high-quality video generation more affordable and accessible, encouraging developers to build new applications around Veo 3’s expanded capabilities.
Google has also recently launched Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, or ‘nano-banana’, its latest image model with editing and fusion features.
Priced at $0.039 per image, it supports fine-grained edits, character consistency, and multi-image blending. Now in preview, the model integrates with AI Studio, OpenRouter.ai, and fal.ai, with SynthID watermarking included.
