Google will work with MeitY to enhance its “Stay Safe Online” campaign through various initiatives. These initiatives encompass literacy programmes focused on cyber safety, the creation of multilingual digital content related to online safety, and the development of educational material on navigating information online.

Google will introduce a series of videos featuring popular YouTube creators with the aim of educating users on responsible information sharing online. This series will delve into specific skills that can help individuals better assess the quality and reliability of information found on the internet.

“India is taking big strides towards its goal of becoming a trillion dollar digital economy. With over 700 million Indians using the internet, and the country driving transformative innovations with the power of digital technologies, it is important to ensure that the internet is inclusive and safe for all,” Sanjay Gupta, Country Head and Vice President, Google India, said.
