New Relic Sets Up New Office in Bengaluru to Bolster Innovation, Strengthen its Position in India

New Relic, the Intelligent Observability Platform, has opened up a new office in Bengaluru with space for over 300 employees. New Relic helps businesses eliminate interruptions in digital experiences. This office will host teams from product, engineering, sales, finance, and operations to boost innovation and better serve its growing global customer base.

“Our customers and our team in India are foundational for our future. As India’s sophisticated digital economy continues to adopt AI and other advanced technologies to enhance customer experiences, observability has become mission-critical, and we are seeing incredible traction both in terms of customer adoption and engagement,” said New Relic chief financial officer Ashish Agarwal.

Expansion Mode: ON

After opening its first Bengaluru office in March 2022 and the Hyderabad Product Innovation Center in October 2022, New Relic is expanding its Bengaluru space to further strengthen its presence in India.

Observability platforms are crucial for cloud-native businesses to understand application performance. DevOps relies on observability to enable rapid iteration and high-quality delivery. India’s startup ecosystem has many cloud-native businesses, and New Relic, a leading observability platform, serves nearly 12,000 customers.

In an exclusive interview with AIM, Ashan Willy, CEO at New Relic spoke about why demand for applications skyrockets in India. “I’ve visited India multiple times, and the fact that you can get things delivered in under 10 minutes is unparalleled. Trust me, I’ve been to many places, and this does not happen anywhere. A lot of these companies – the Swiggies and Ola Cabs of the world – use our observability platform,” he said.

Partners with NVIDIA: New Relic recently partnered with NVIDIA to provide AI monitoring for NVIDIA NIM applications, launching a AI-powered DEM solution. They also introduced New Relic Pathpoint, enabling businesses to improve application performance and reliability.

The Future is LLM Observability

New Relic’s platform provides over 30 capabilities for a unified experience across the tech stack throughout the software lifecycle. The company has now integrated generative AI, introducing New Relic Grok, claimed to be the first generative AI assistant for observability.

“With many of our global customers’ observability teams also based in India, the new Bengaluru office further enables us to serve our global customers with the high caliber of talent on our various teams and strengthens,” said Agarwal.
The domain of open source remains significant in observability platforms. “A lot of our customers are asking us to embrace open source and open telemetry, which is a portion of open source that is very relevant for the observability space. We’re embracing that in a big way,” said Willy.
