Now, there's one more benefit — free access to an AI-powered chatbot and search tool.
From now through Oct. 31, an announcement about the offer reads that eligible Uber One subscribers in the United States and Canada can claim a free year of Perplexity Pro.

If you're not familiar, Perplexity.ai is a free AI chatbot and internet search tool that operates much like other AI chatbots. It's generally well-regarded for being reliable, accurate, and current. In fact, it was ZDNET Senior Contributing Editor Steven Vaughan-Nichols' favorite chatbot, beating out ChatGPT and Copilot.
Perplexity Pro is a premium subscription tier that provides access to basic search plus several other advanced features:

If you're a current Perplexity Pro subscriber hoping to cut your price in half and get free Uber One in the process, you're out of luck, as the offer is only for current Uber One subscribers and new Perplexity Pro accounts. Uber One membership must be active throughout the duration of the promotion, and both accounts must use the same email address.
Eligible Uber One customers will get a special access code in their email that they can use to sign up on the Perplexity website.
